i truly believe in life you should never settle; especially in love. this may have been the best way to end the year & one of the highlights of my entire life.
my hearts screaming.
how can you possibly describe the perfect wedding? guess it starts with two people in love; Dee & Sunny.
at the most magical venue (The Ruin) in Joshua Tree, CA. a day that consisted of flash floods, thunderstorms & a lit' bit of rain turned out to be gods perfect masterpiece.
i can not say enough thanks you's to everyone involved (codyandallisonphoto *http://codyandallisonphoto.com, the ruin venue, perfectlypoised_events, amihoexperience, circarentals, sundrop_vintage, lightsfornights, @ etc.)
Crisp//Modern//Romantic. These are a few words that come to mind when thinking of this gorgeous couple.
Overlooking the mountain tops of Sacred Sands, Julian this day couldn’t have been any more perfect.
Vast terrains of open sand // an untouched, pristine, soft landscape marked only by two lovers feet.
this is truly what dreams are made of; & how special I felt to be apart of it!
an incredible crew:
The week of this shoot was not what I expected & it truly took me for a whirl wind. I guess that's what's so peculiar about life is you never know where the day//month//year will take you. My grandpa passed on the Sunday prior and I had really mixed emotions. A part of me felt like my whole world had shattered and I couldn't imagine stepping out into the light; however it was imperative for me to keep myself bound with distractions because when the body is idle the mind wanders (or so they say).
One of the only things I was truly excited for was this shoot. Where to begin... this concept came to me one day when I realized how many relationships I had created throughout the years. Do you ever sit back and wonder how you got so lucky in meeting certain people?
I realized I was surrounded by women who were gifted with so many talents and were continuously utilizing them in the most positive/motivating way. My dear friend Mich, the FOUNDER of MOTO FAM (a nonprofit organization that helps riders nationwide who suffer from serious motorcycle accidents). Her mission/company is not only selfless but what I believe is essential in human life. She not only extends herself to individuals who are in dire need but also creates unforgettable bonds with humans worldwide. (did I mention she is completely BAD-ASS, absolutely breathtaking, a mother of 3, and has always been supportive of me???!?) I could think of no other woman who has inspired me to the moon & back
Next, I want to discuss my talented/beautiful photographer, Brie. I knew I had to get Brie on board with my vision because she has been killing the game from day 1. Some individuals are just born talented; it's almost like anything they touch turns to gold-- & that is precisely the case with this woman here. Her perspective & view from behind the lens is unlike most photographers while her down to earth presence keeps you grounded. Another entrepreneur that motivates me & that I hold such a huge level of respect for.
I was so fortunate to have my best friend Loren involved. She has always been there for me whenever I've needed her & never hesitates to be a model for me (because have you looked at her? probably one of the most beautiful women i know). This day could NOT have happened without her help.
I want to formally thank the venue, Hey Babe Ranch, for letting me use their gorgeous space & Adore Folklore for allowing me to utilize their rentals.
The true message of this shoot was simple. Celebrating women who created their own path & being able to revel in the relationships made with one another. I wanted to showcase our businesses/talents/personalities and allow the world to get a glimpse of what is important to me. I love, truly love, meeting people/collaborating and seeing what makes them light up. That's one of the reasons why I love doing florals; most of the time it's connected to celebrating a huge milestone for someone. The type of emotion/gathering it promotes is so beautiful & that to me is THE meaning of life. Enjoy.

There's something extra special about love when your best friend is involved. I'm even more fortunate to have friends who are vulnerable enough to show case their love for me. These images always touch a cord because I can almost feel their love across the screen.
Never quite sure where to start with these two; Brie & Shae Carter (dream team/sister babes). I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon with these babes & we took full advantage of the place we call home. Lush with cacti & sand we utilized the two varying landscapes with a vibrant color palette.
There's something so special about the ocean; it's terrifying but at the same time overwhelmingly captivating. It makes me feel at home.
On April 14th Alyssa & Joe got married at The Rustic Oak in Fallbrook, California. The great thing about this job is I often get the privilege of personally knowing the bride & groom. I’ve known Alyssa for a couple years now and she looked exactly how I imagined she would on her wedding day; stunning.
I remember watching them slow dance next to some luminous string lights while under the soft gleaming moon and thinking—- this must be what true love looks like.

I knew this bouquet had to have the right amount of grace & subtle softness. I cherished making this little baby & took my time making it just right. To Marina & Alex, you looked absolutely gorgeous and your love radiated the whole day. Cheers to love & all the days in-between.
my favorite day celebrating my best friend.
A day dedicated to the sweetest couple.
(p.s is this my own wedding because harry potter + pizza = everything i’ve ever loved in my life)
When Anndrea (from PeachesToPoppies) asked me to be apart of her full moon shoot I knew I had to jump on board. Executing an idea & bringing it to life is such a beautiful thing. I'll let the pictures tell their story.
